Google Goes Green

Google hopes other companies will follow its lead as it converts its headquarters in Mountain View, CA to run partly on solar power. Yahoo! News and the Associated Press reported on Google's announcement yesterday that "as much as 30 percent of the power at its 1-million-square-foot campus" could be generated via solar power by the spring of 2007.
