The USPTO Wants You!

That's the message from the Peer-to-Patent community review project organized by New York Law School in conjunction with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Peer-to-Patent is inviting individuals to register for the pilot project, which allows members to review and comment on pending patent applications (so far, over 1,000 people have answered the call). Companies that have submitted applications include GE, Intel, HP, IBM, Red Hat and, announced today, Microsoft, which submitted a digital rights management patent for review.

According to Peer-to-Patent's blog, "reviewing patent applications is free and open to all via the Peer-to-Patent Web site at www.peertopatent.org."
